Coming almost two decades after the release of Chinatown in 1974, Nicholson returned to reprise his role as Jake Gittes in 1990’s The Two Jakes. The noir sequel is set 10 years after the ending of the first film, and follows the private investigator as he finds himself embroiled in another case that’s much larger than he ever expected.
