Mesmerizing Trailer for Kogonada’s ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’ Film

“I want to go back to when I thought everything would work out for me…” A journey through your life – and off we go! Sony Pictures has revealed the first official trailer for A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, a magical romantic adventure traveling back through time. This new Kogonada (of Columbus, After Yang) movie looks a bit like a combo between Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and About Time, following two lovers who discover doors that open and take them back to another time in their past. “Relive your past. Change your future.” Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell star as David and Sarah, along with Kevin Kline and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The story about a pair of strangers and the unimaginable journey that ties them together. This trailer shows them both exploring moments in their lives that shape them and left them with emotional baggage, as they attempt to navigate a romantic life together in the present (and the future). This looks absolutely gorgeous! I just knew Kogonada was cooking up something mesmerizing and heartfelt. Arriving in theaters this September – it’s one of my most anticipated to watch in the second half of 2025.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is directed by acclaimed Korean-American filmmaker Kogonada, director of the films Columbus and After Yang previously, and eps of the series “Pachinko” and “The Acolyte” most recently. The screenplay is written by Seth Reiss. It’s produced by Bradley Thomas, Ryan Friedkin, Seth Reiss, Youree Henley. Sony Pictures will release Kogonada’s A Big Bold Beautiful Journey movie in theaters nationwide starting September 19th, 2025 this fall. First impression? Look any good?
