New Marvel Game Brings Back Hulk’s Most Underrated Design

The bearded Hulk from the Jason Aaron era of the franchise returns for an all-new Marvel game. The Hulk made his on-panel debut in May 1963’s The Incredible Hulk by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and over the course of the last 62 years, his costumes and appearances have constantly evolved. Even most recently, Hulk has maintained some cool redesigns, and Marvel wants to remind fans of his most underrated.

AIPT Comics reveals that Hulk will be one of seven heroes getting their own variant covers this September for Marvel Mystic Mayhem, a new mobile exclusive video game release from NetEase Games launching on iOS and Android on June 25. Other heroes included are Spider-Man, Psylocke, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, and Moon Knight. All seven variants made for the game can be found below:

Among these variants, the Hulk’s design seems to be directly inspired by his appearance, as seen in writer Jason Aaron and artist Marc Silvestri’s 2011-12 run of The Incredible Hulk.
