Love Island USA season 7’s Yulissa Escobar, who was one of the original Islanders, shockingly left the villa during the second episode of the season after backlash from Love Island USA viewers. While Yulissa, who shared that she’d recently gotten out of a nine year relationship and was hoping to find someone after finding herself on the series, was open about what she was looking for in a relationship, her behavior outside of the Love Island USA season 7 villa was concerning to viewers. During the second episode of the season, it was nonchalantly announced Yulissa had chosen to leave.
Throughout the first episode of Love Island USA season 7, it was clear that Yulissa wasn’t fitting in with the rest of the women on the show by no fault of their own. During the opening sequences of the season, the other women of Love Island USA were supportive of one another’s connections and interest in the men on the show. Chelley Bissainthe and Olandria Carthen, the first ladies in the villa, were happy to get to know each other along with Huda Mustafa and Belle-A Walker, but Yulissa’s energy seemed off. Still, hearing Yulissa left the show was shocking.
Yulissa Came Into Love Island USA Looking Out For Herself
She Wasn’t Fostering Relationships With Other Women
While Yulissa came into the Love Island USA season 7 villa hopeful that she was going to find something real, it was clear from early on that she was playing a game more than living an experience. Yulissa’s energy was tough to handle throughout the first episode, especially because she felt comfortable crossing lines with her fellow Islanders. During the first coupling, Yulissa decided to match up with Ace Greene, who was already matched up with Chelley, and didn’t seem apologetic about her decision. While she did talk to Chelley after, her attitude wasn’t that of someone looking for forgiveness.

She Didn’t Feel Like She Was Being Cared For

Yulissa May Have Been Removed From Love Island USA
She Was Exposed For Using Racially Insensitive Language
While it’s not confirmed, it’s possible Love Island USA may have chosen to remove Yulissa rather than her choosing to leave the show after a serious situation was brought into the spotlight. After the Love Island USA season 7 cast was announced, Yulissa was exposed to have used racially insensitive language several times during recent podcast appearances. While there was no explanation for her decision to use inappropriate and offensive language, Yulissa wasn’t aware of that coming to light ahead of entering the villa. It’s possible Love Island USA saw Yulissa as a liability and removed her as a response.
